  • Full-time position, 40 hours/week
  • Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00, year round position
  • Beginning hourly rate: $15.33/hour - subject to education & experience

Summary: LECE Full Time Preschool Facilitators work as the primary supporting role for the full day classroom teacher. As an important member of a classroom team, facilitators work to support the social and emotional growth and well being of all classroom students in order to maintain a safe and positive learning environment for preschool children 2-5 years of age. After the school day ends, facilitators are responsible for leading aftercare and guiding afternoon assistants in the promotion of the social aspect of after school time. Persons interested in this position must be able to be flexible, reliable, positive, communicate effectively as part of a team, and take direction from the teacher.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for creating, supporting, and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate climate that values every student
  • Develop positive communication with building and classroom staff, students, and their families
  • Build a partnership with families
  • Model and promote respect and caring in relationships with children, parents, families, colleagues, and the school and district community
  • Responsible for working as a team to build the social and emotional skills and well being of all students, during the school day and in aftercare
  • Utilize positive, research-based strategies to guide student’s social behavior in a way that maintains an effective learning environment
  • Responsible for the support and implementation of the current lesson plan or any verbal or written plans for classrooms and individual students to promote curiosity and a love of learning during the school day and in aftercare
  • Lead part time staff in support of the goals of aftercare
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized and orderly learning environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning through the LECE school community offerings
  • Aware of all policies and procedures of Lindbergh Early Childhood Education and support their implementation 

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree
