Teacher Assistant - ELL/ML (Multilingual Learners) - Dressel Elementary

• Full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year 
• Schedule Monday-Friday, to follow Student Calendar, approximately 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week
• Hourly rate: $22.23
• Non-exempt
• Benefits included
• Substitute Certificate required, but Missouri Teacher Certification preferred

Summary:  To provide instructional assistance for ML students under the direction of the ML teacher as well as provide support in the general education classroom.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

• Collaborate with teachers
• File student portfolios and other confidential paperwork
• Apply accommodations and modifications on classroom assignments and test with the guidance of the ML teacher
• Test giving in a small setting
• Understand the objective of an ML class by comprehending learning levels
• Work closely with students and reinforce skills introduced by the teacher
• Tutor individual students (e.g., help them prepare assignments or explain material they do not understand); assist with independent study
• Conduct small groups and one on one instruction to help them master assignments and reinforce learning concepts
