Flyers Club Assistant (School Age Before and After School)


  • Part-time position, approximately 3-15 hours/week
  • Schedule Monday-Friday, to follow school calendar
  • Hourly rate: $11.72 
  • Non-exempt, benefits not included
  • Application deadline:   Position will remain posted until filled

 

Summary:

Maintains a safe environment for children; follows all safety procedures, assists facilitators and takes direction from the Teacher.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  (other duties as assigned)

 

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate climate
  • Maintains a clean, safe, organized and orderly environment
  • Aware of and reports all broken equipment and unsafe situations
  • Models and promotes respect and caring in relationships with children, parents, families, colleagues and community
  • Responsible for social development of children
  • Utilizes positive strategies to guide children’s social behavior to maintain an  effective learning environment
  • Greets families each day
  • Aware of and uses Family and Children Information Clipboard 
  • Reads Sub File when entering a classroom to be familiar with the child    information contained therein
  • Responsible for implementation of the current lesson plan or verbal or written plan

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

All aspects of the classroom as related to children’s safety

 

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree

None
