ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL/ADMIN INTERN - LINDBERGH HIGH SCHOOL 2019-2020

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides instructional leadership to staff including: curriculum planning, review and implementation; and professional development.  Responsible for building administration and the safety and welfare of both students and staff.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 12 month position to begin 7/1/2019
  • Missouri State Advanced Secondary Administrative Certificate
  • Educational Doctorate preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience
  • Successful administrative experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Base salary > subject to experience

  • Note: Job title and other variables will depend on status of education/experience: 
    "Admin Intern" signifies that a candidate is currently enrolled in a graduate administration program. 
    "Assistant Principal" signifies a degree has already been obtained and has at least one year of administrative experience.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee curriculum enhancement and alignment

  • Participate in parent-teacher-student conferences as need arises

  • Assist in maintaining the 504 Program that is in compliance with the Office of Civil Rights

  • Monitor and facilitate dual credit offerings with regional colleges

  • Work with teachers in the development of strategies and curriculum

  • Affect positive school and community relationships

  • Participate within the A+ Steering Committee and A+ Advisory Board

  • Work directly with Alternative School staff to ensure efficiency

  • Assist the principal in building scheduling, fostering communication between stakeholders, and implementing strategies to improve instruction

  • Assist the principal in faculty supervision and evaluation in accordance with district evaluation policy

  • Supervision at school events
  • Attend all meetings as directed by supervisor

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor and district office administration
