Substitute Long Term Leave Assignment - 3/4 Preschool Teacher - Lindbergh Early Childhood Education

• Full-time, 7 hours per day, Monday-Friday; schedule to follow Student Calendar
• Anticipated start date: 2/9/2025
• Anticipated end date: 5/9/2025
• Missouri State Content Sub Certification Required; Early Child Ed preferred
• Substitute Pay Rate for Long Term Coverage: $170/day (Applies after 30 consecutive days worked. Days 1-30 will then be paid at the long-term rate, retroactively.)
• Benefits not included, not exempt

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

• Develops lesson plans and instructional material and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
• Implements lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Communicates regularly with parents by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior by positive guidance to achieve an effective learning atmosphere
• Identifies pupil needs and makes appropriate referrals and develops strategies for individual education plans
• Plans and coordinates the work of assistants and volunteers in the classroom 
• Responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate climate
• Greets families each day and builds partnerships with parents and families
• Maintains a clean, safe, organized and orderly environment
• Aware of and reports all broken equipment and unsafe situations
• Keeps Family and Children Information Clipboard current
• Responsible for maintaining classroom and school materials and equipment
• Develops and maintains accurate sub files
• Models and promotes respect and caring in relationships with children, parents, families,colleagues and community
